A blog by Angela Leighton-Jones

I am Angela Leighton-Jones and I was born in St Asaph, North Wales, in January 1955. I was a youngster of eight when The Beatles became famous in 1963. I loved them as a youngster and was made up when my parents bought me a plate with my Fab Four on it, which I still have today and treasure. Sadly I never got to see the Beatles live but have always followed them.

In 2015 at the age of sixty, I took my family on the Magical Mystery Tour and since then have been researching the lives of The Beatles starting in Liverpool and then in recent years, due to the pandemic, I have been researching the ancestry of John Lennon and George Harrison only miles from my home in Abergele, North Wales. My main interest is genealogy although I guess I have an interest in generally anything connected to the lives of the Beatles. I have met many Beatles historians and also people that were part of their lives and this has been such a privilege for myself.

I have a group on Facebook called Journeying Through The Lives of The Beatles and I have a great passion for discovering something new every day about The Beatles and look forward to sharing my discoveries with the many other historians and fans, and learning also from their discoveries and knowledge.
